Cadillac was - in 1985 - the first automobile manufacturer in the world to offer a transverse mounted
V8 in a front wheel drive configuration.

In 1994, all Cadillacs, except the Brougham, offered this engine configuration.

The Seville is equipped with an interacting system, comprising the engine, transmission and
suspension.

This system, known as the Northstar System is the beating heart of this magnificent sports sedan.

The engine is a 300 HP (net) quad OHC, 32 valve V8, completely made out of aluminum and
magnesium.

Mated to this silk smooth power plant is an electronically controlled 4T80-E transmission.

The third component, the suspension, reacts to rolling, diving and harsh road surfaces.

These three units are controlled by several computers giving them instructions and monitoring them
thousand times a second.
